As tokenized products scale, investors and protocols need more than periodic reports. They need verifiable, onchain records that any party can independently check. Without this, risk decisions depend on trust in a single reporting entity, and integrating protocols have no reliable way to assess what actually backs the assets they accept.
LlamaGuard Proof is LlamaRisk's attestation product, part of the LlamaGuard Suite. It takes financial data from any source custodian reports, fund manager communications, onchain balances, API snapshots, and produces structured, cryptographically signed attestation records that are stored on decentralized storage and anchored onchain. Each attestation is then independently verified by a third party, with the verification result recorded onchain alongside the original.
This gives issuers a way to prove their backing with cryptographic evidence rather than assertions, gives protocols machine-readable attestation data they can act on programmatically, and gives investors a permanent, independently confirmed audit trail.
It is powered by the SAVE framework, an open-source library that standardizes the process of making structured financial data provable onchain. SAVE is general-purpose: it handles NAV verification today and extends to any attestation type.
LlamaGuard Proof is live in production, powering the Midas Attestation Engine on Ethereum mainnet, built in collaboration with Chainlink and vlayer.
#How It Works
Data Collection. Financial data is pulled from its source, whether that is a fund manager's NAV report, a custodian statement, or onchain balances at a specific block height. Where applicable, source documents are cryptographically notarized using vlayer's ZK-TLS technology, producing a proof that the data originated from the expected counterparty and has not been altered.
Structuring Claims. The SAVE framework converts verified data into structured, standardized claims. A claim can represent a NAV figure, an account balance, a verified communication, or a computed aggregate derived from other claims. Each claim carries its own cryptographic evidence, and every value traces back to its source.
Onchain Anchoring. Claims are bundled into a signed attestation, uploaded to decentralized storage, and registered onchain via Chainlink CRE (Chainlink Runtime Environment). The attestation hash is broadcast through a decentralized, consensus-driven workflow rather than published by a single key.
Independent Verification. A third-party verifier fetches the published attestation and re-verifies it independently: every cryptographic proof is re-checked, every extracted value is re-compared against its source, every computed figure is recomputed from its inputs. The verification result is published as a separate signed report onchain alongside the original. The SAVE framework is open-source, so any party can run the same verification process.

#Design Principles
Open-source verification. The SAVE framework, claim structures, verification logic, and tooling are public. Third parties can run independent verification without special access.
Structured and composable. Attestations are machine-readable documents. Claims reference other claims, computed values link to their inputs, and the full document can be consumed programmatically by risk frameworks and protocol governance.
Multiple evidence types. The framework supports digital signatures, privacy-preserving web proofs via vlayer, and decentralized oracle consensus via Chainlink CRE. New evidence mechanisms are pluggable as they mature.
Onchain-native. Attestation and verification data live in an onchain registry. Protocols and curators can query attestation status, NAV freshness, or verification results directly from their own contracts.
#The Midas Attestation Engine
LlamaGuard Proof powers the Midas Attestation Engine, running on the Ethereum mainnet. Starting with mHYPER and expanding across the Midas product suite, every attestation follows the full pipeline: data collection, structuring claims, onchain anchoring via Chainlink CRE, and independent verification by LlamaRisk.
#The LlamaGuard Suite
LlamaGuard Proof is the first product of the LlamaGuard Suite, LlamaRisk's verification infrastructure for DeFi, built across three layers:
- LlamaGuard Proof: Reserve and collateral verification. Structured, independently verified onchain attestations. Live.
- LlamaGuard NAV: Onchain asset valuation. Continuous, verifiable net asset value calculations for tokenized products.
- LlamaGuard Actions: Automated enforcement and risk response. Programmatic action based on attestation and valuation state.
Each layer works independently or as part of the integrated suite. LlamaGuard Proof is live.

#About
#LlamaRisk
LlamaRisk is a leading DeFi risk manager trusted by top-tier protocols like Aave, Aave Horizon, Curve, and Ethena. We work alongside our partners to protect users and drive sustainable growth. LlamaRisk delivers transparent, verifiable risk engineering that accelerates institutional onchain adoption. We blend rigorous protocol research with real-time market monitoring and quantitative tooling to safeguard lending markets, stablecoins, and tokenized assets. Our risk engines optimize parameters and trigger proactive protections, helping protocols ship faster with guardrails that benefit the whole ecosystem.
#Midas
Midas is a platform for composable onchain investment products. It enables strategy managers to turn institutional strategies into compliant tokens that offer investors full transparency, instant redemptions, and native composability across DeFi. Founded in 2024 by Dennis Dinkelmeyer (formerly of Goldman Sachs), Fabrice Grinda (FJ Labs), and Romain Bourgois (formerly of Ondo Finance), Midas is backed by leading investors, including RRE, Creandum, Framework Ventures, HV Capital, Ledger Cathay, and Coinbase Ventures. To date, Midas has powered over $1.7B in asset issuance and paid out $37M in yield.
#Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform that brings capital markets onchain and powers the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi. Many of the world's largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink's standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, GMX, Lido, and many others. #vlayer
vlayer is a privacy-first infrastructure that lets businesses and developers verify real-world data securely – without exposing or storing sensitive information. Powered by Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) and advanced cryptography, vlayer turns web, email, and on-chain data into verifiable proofs, enabling trusted applications at scale. From KYC and user onboarding to financial compliance, identity verification, and proof-of-reserve audits, vlayer powers secure, privacy-preserving workflows across industries. Backed by a16z CSX, Credo Ventures, and Strobe Ventures, we're building the foundation for digital trust – one proof at a time.
